Do you take care of your body as well as you maintain your car?
If your vehicle is vibrating or rattling when you drive over 60 miles per hour, what would you do?
To fix the problem, are you going to give the car a wash and polish? No.
Would you give it higher leaded gasoline? Of course not!
The right answer? Of course, you would immediately take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic and get to the root of the problem to resolve it as quickly as possible. After all, you don't want to get stranded on the highway the next time you leave home!
Now, what if you have back pain when you get out of bed in the morning? Or after you exercise?
Do you ignore the pain for weeks or even months? Probably, right? Too many people do.
Why do we make an effort to get to the root of our vehicles' problem immediately, but we are more careless with our own bodies?
HOW YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR PAIN WITH SOMATIC NEUROMUSCULAR RE-EDUCATION
You are responsible for taking care of your own body, and you need to actively participate in your own healing. The human body holds the innate ability to heal itself when it is given the proper inputs.
Somatic Neuromuscular Re-education, a positive input, builds new neurosignatures in your brain to instruct your muscles how to function correctly. It is brain retraining requiring you to participate in your own healing actively.
YOUR BODY IS A SCREENSHOT OF YOUR LIFE
So, do you take care of your body as well as you maintain your car?
Our bodies respond to the events and stressors in our lives. When we feel tired, and the demands of our lives make us feel overwhelmed, our bodies will display the telltale signs. These signs may show up as physiologically ingrained reflex patterns.
You likely recognize some of the most common reflexes, including rounded shoulders, an overarched back, or recognize people that clearly lean to one side. These maladaptive reflexes don't only cause postural, movement, and body distortions. They can also result in a lack of mental clarity, low mood, anxiety, interrupted sleep, poor digestion, wear and tear on joints, and persistent pain.

YOUR BODY WAS DESIGNED TO SELF-HEAL AND SELF-REGULATE
The bottom line is that pain resides in the brain. To change your pain, you must use your mind to change the present patterns in your body.
Your body was brilliantly designed to self-heal and self-regulate. Deep patterning occurs as a physiological response to what happens in your life. It is a worthwhile goal to work with your Somatic Nervous System to re-educate your muscles and teach them to let go of that patterning.
