About the Event
The 61 points relaxation exercise, known as shava yatra, is a master practice of the Himalayan Tradition. 61 Point Practice has three beautiful benefits:
- First, it soothes the nervous system and deeply relaxes the muscles of the body.
- Second, the mind is redirected from outer distractions and trained to move systematically through 61 (marma) points cultivating inner awareness and sense withdrawal (pratyahara).
- Third, the practice directs your awareness inward sensing and feeling the inner workings of your body/mind developing the vital skill of Interoception. This is a powerful practice for deep relaxation and renewed vitality.
